Year Three Music Afternoon

Year 3 Colour Mixing!

In Year 3 today we have been learning how to colour mix. We used the primary colours and made other colours by mixing two or three primary colours together.

World Cup!

World Cup fever has hit Year 3!

This week children have all been assigned a country to research and produce work about. Children have made a flag, found out interesting facts about their country, and made a PicCollage on the iPads too.

Virtual Competition Champions!

Mrs Smith has been in each class over the past few weeks as children took part in the Southlands Virtual Competition. Each class completes four different challenges and each time a challenge is completed, points are gained.

In Year 3, to celebrate the royal wedding, we have been creating wedding invitations. We used the PicCollage app on the iPads to combine text and graphics to produce the invites. Some of our invitations are below, we think Harry and Meghan will be delighted by them!

Handball Champions!

Rakshan Bandham

In RE we have been learning about the Hindu celebration of Rakshan Bandham. The celebration is all about family, love and unity and Hindus give each other Rakhi bracelets as a gift to symbolise the love they have for each other. We made our own Rakhi bracelets using wool and card.
