Father Jordan to Visit Year 6
To develop pupils' understanding of Jesus' baptism, Father Jordan from All Saint's Church will visit year 6 to support their R.E studies,
Whole School Harvest at Church
Our Annual Harvest festival will take place at Trinity Church and as always parents and family members are welcome to come and watch. We welcome parent volunteers to support walking to church. Class teachers will be in touch nearer the time to find out if you are able to support with the event. Further details will be shared with parents nearer the time however we anticipate the event starting at 9.30am.
Year 1 and 2 Design Technology Morning
Parents of Year 1 and Year 2 pupils will be invited into classroom to share in their child's DT learning.
Year 5 and 6 Assembly
Pupils in Years 5 and 6 will be presenting their recent history and geography learning through a joint class assembly to parents and KS2 pupils.
Parents' Evening
Our Autumn term parents evening will take on Wednesday 8th November. Please ensure you book an appointment time through the electonic link sent nearer the time.
World Science Investigation Day
To support and develop pupils scientific investigation skills whilst continuing to inspire them to become future scientists, we will be holding a scientific investigation day.
Staff Inset
School will be closed for all pupils due to staff inset.
Year 3 trip to Astley Park Cenotaph
Year 3 pupils will visit the cenotaph to celebrate rememberance day whilst representing Gillibrand within the local community.
Father Jordan Advent Assembly
We continue to build links with our local community with a visit from Father Jordan who will lead a whole school assembly on advent.
Own Clothes day for Christmas Shop Donations
We are kindly asking for donations of items for our annual Christmas shop in order to raise money for school. Details of class colours to follow.
Key Stage 2 Singing Concert
Parents and families are invited to join our KS2 pupils at All Saints Church as we celebrate Christmas with our annual Chrismas Singing Concert. The event will start at approximately 9.30am.
Christmas Jumper Day and Lunch
Children are invited to wear Christmas jumpers and it will be our annual Christmas lunch. Details will be sent nearer the time as all children have the option to have a tradtional Christmas dinner on this day.
EYFS and KS1 Community Performance
Pupils will perform their dress reherhal in front of the school and local community. Residents of Grosvenor Road, Gillibrand Hall and Coniston House will be invited to enjoy the event.
EYFS and Key Stage 1 Parent Performance
There will be two performances of the EYFS and KS1 play, one at 10am and the other at 5.15pm. Class teachers will contact parents closer to the event with further details.
Christmas Party Day
Pupils are invited to come in sensible party clothes (please ensure footwear is suitable for running around) whilst they enjoy Christmas Party Day.
