Super hero Dances
This half term we have created our own Superhero group dances. All of Year 4 have had fun dancing and they have also learned a lot too.
Today we performed our Superhero Dances to other KS2 classes.
Well done Year 4.
Outdoor Club Autumn 2016
We have had a great time over the last term in outdoor club. Key stage one children have been putting on their wellies every week to experience the great outdoors. Here are some of the fun things we have been doing:
Where are you Snowdrop?
Have you seen Snowdrop?
This morning we came into class and hunted high and low for Snowdrop. Did she over sleep or has she been too busy with Father Christmas' errands?
We are getting so worried, where could she be? Did we do something wrong or did we upset her?
If you do see her please…
Playdough Challenge!
In Year 3 we have been learning about the works of Mary Anning; a famous palaeontologist from the 19th Century. We have been looking at the fossils she discovered in the Dorset coast and have attempted to rebuild them using Playdough!
Getting Ready!
The children in Reception and KS1 are preparing the Nativity Play.
Everyone is trying hard to remember their lines and where they stand on the stage!
First Class Passenger!
Well done Fran!
Fran is the first person in Year 4 to complete the Round the World Reading Challenge.
Well done Fran. He is now a first class passenger and reader!
Come on Year 4. I know you can all do it!
We Rock!
Today in Year 3 we have been making animations on Purple Mash. We have been making animations of how different rock types are formed, using what we have learnt in Science. We have been animating the process of how igneous, metamorphic and sedimentary rocks are formed.
Children's Society Collection
Year 4 have started learning about the Christingle and what a Christingle represents.
The Children's Society have donated some of the items needed to make our own Christingles. All the children took home a Christingle collection candle as we decided we would like to raise a little bit of money…
Stone Age jewellery
Last week Year 5 finished their Stone Age jewellery. They were all very patient waiting for the clay to dry. They look really effective.
Dear Father Christmas...

There has been a magical Christmas buzz in the Beech Tree class this week. Our classroom is now taking on a Christmas feel with our Nativity scene, Christmas tree and beautiful Advent calendar. We have had visits from Snowdrop the elf and we even heard Father Christmas…
Snowdrop the Elf
Today we recieved a very urgent parcel all the way from the North Pole. Inside was an elf sent from Santa. Her job is to report back to Santa all the exciting things that she sees in class. Santa can also keep his eye on us through his 'web cam'.
Our little elf did not have a name when she…
Mission Impossible with Yr4!
The focus for Yr4 P.E. with Mrs Smith this half term is Dance.
Yr4 created a dance using the Mission Impossible theme music as a stimulus.
I was invited to watch the finished dance.
The children certainly impressed me with the quality of movement and the way they worked…
