In Year 3 today we have had great fun completing a STEM challenge and being construction engineers! Children had to build a tower and then a Maya temple using only cocktail sticks and midget gems! First we discussed how a tower needs support to stand and how best to achieve this using the materials we had. We talked about joining materials and strengthening them. Then children worked in teams to create their masterpieces. All the children worked well as a team, sharing ideas and listening to each other. Well done Year 3!
