On Tuesday our Key Stage 1 children learnt all about exploring the South Pole! Pupils used drama and role-play to became fully immersed in the adventures of Ernest Shackleton as they journeyed through the cold to the centre of Antarctica! They learnt about the animals that call the South Pole home, the equipment that Shackleton used and just how cold the weather was! A fantastic start to our South Pole topic to help develop curiosity, awe and wonder!
