As a school pupils, staff and parents, both past and present, came together to honour the life of Mrs Clayton and her contributions to education, and of course Gillibrand.  Having spoken to so many parents, it is clear to see how she lived our school values, sharing her passion and interests and making a difference to others.

We are so proud of all the pupils that represented the school so well whilst singing in the school choir, reading one of Mrs Clayton's favourite books 'Maybe' which she enjoyed sharing with pupils on so many occasions as well as lighting candles in her memory.

Readings were also shared by Mrs Clark, Mr Thomas and Chair of Governors, Doris Bell.

A special mention goes to Reverend Jordan Bentliff for supporting school in organising and leading the event.  He has personally supported the school through a difficult time strengthening our community links.  In addition, B.Livesey Ltd. Funeral Directors very kindly supported the event by preparing and printing an order of service, free of charge.

Finally, we would like to thank everyone for attending the service, for all the kind words  and messages of support and cards received over the past weeks.  It was particularly lovely to see so many familiar faces and hear how our past pupils are continuing to succeed and work towards their dreams, something Mrs Clayton inspired in so many pupils.
