On Thursday, Year 4 had a visit from a local poet. Matt Goodfellow, from Manchester, visited Year 4 to speak to them about how he became a poet and what inspires his writing. The children really enjoyed listening to him reading some of his poems and having a go at writing their own. Some of them were shocked that he was actually a teacher before he started writing poems! Hopefully Matt will be returning to school next year to work with other year groups.
