Year 6 had a great time on their residential. We arrive at the Anderton Centre around 1:30pm on Wednesday and the children where quickly on to their first activity. This was either crate stack or archer. Create stack was a real test of team work. Building large towers and having the balance and bravery to stand on top. The children helped and supported each other and a few managed over 11 creates in total. Archery was next, this was a test of accuracy and concentration. We then went off to our rooms and had to make our own beds! This proved the greatest challenge of the day for some! Then it was time for tea. We had a great tea with chocolate pudding for desert. With tea finished it was off to get changed and put on our clothes we didn't mind getting wet. We were suited up with helmets and floatation aids and off we went paddle boarding. Many of us fell in! Some where even pushed in by friends! Everyone one to bed after a hot shower that night tired but happy with fantastic memories to talk about.

The next day started with bacon or sausage sandwiches, cereals and toast before back to the floatation aids and the water. Canoeing was Thursday's activity. We were in groups of 6 or 7 canoeing our way around and stopping off at an old ruin to play hide and seek. On the way back we played capture the oar and a bit of canoe football, which got quite competitive! Then back to a delicious lunch before heading home.
