A group of representatives from the Mitie Group came in to school to work with the children.  Every class had an assembly about sustainability and the world of work, in particular looking at career opportunities for girls.  In the afternoon, Year 5 and Year 6 were set a task. They had 45 minutes to build a wind turbine and a fire engine.

The children worked in teams amd had to decide on how best to solve the problem.  They used reclaimed materials brought in from home.

The Mitie employees supported the groups as they worked.  At the end of the afternoon a winning team was chosen.

Well done to Emily, Verity, Matty and Harley.
