Cross Country
On Thursday the children ran in the Cross Country Competition at Southlands. Despite the pouring rain and gusting winds they all ran really well and all came in the top 25! Congratulations to Josef, Harvey, Matty, Toby and Will, you did the school proud!
Healthy Lifestyles
Mrs Smith (from Chorley Schools' Partnership Programme) came to visit us on Friday. She told us all about making healthy food choices and we looked carefully at the amount of sugar in the foods we eat.

Ocarinas
Year 2 have been working hard, learning how to play 'Old McDonald' on the Ocarina.
We have been practising playing the high D, low D, G and A notes.

Today the children in Year 4 have been learning how to play their recorder. We have learnt how to hold our instrument correctly, sing songs and copy rhythms with our instruments.

Let's Go Fly Our Kites.
Year 4 took advantage of the windy weather this morning and they got to fly their kites outside in the wind.

Playing the Ukulele!
Year 3 have started to learn how to play the ukulele. So far we have learnt to hold the ukulele correctly and play ‘C’. We look forward to improving our skills over the course of the year. Children will need to bring in their ukuleles on Fridays.

Good To Be Me
Mrs Smith came to teach us all about making healthy lifestyle choices.
We looked at food choices in particular and learned that we can eat 19g of sugar per day but that some foods contain almost our whole sugar allowance!
