The children have been involved in all sorts of activities to celebrate Book Week this week. The whole school composed a story together.

Reception started the story and each class added to it. Year 6 edited the story and read it out in celebration assembly on Friday.

The children in year 4 decorated potatoes in the form of a book character. Amongst the fantastic creations were; Harry Potter, Cat in the Hat, Gangster Granny, Mr Twit, Mr Bump, Tim Pete, Mr Wonka, Sleeping Beauty, Ariel from The Little Mermaid, 101 Dalmatians, Moon Face and Spider Man. The children have certainly used their imagination!

Year 4’s class Novel at the moment is Charlie and the Chocolate factory. The children have designed a new front cover for the book.

The children came dressed in their pyjamas on Bedtime Story Day and brought in their favourite story book to school.

We also had wonderful support from parents on Thursday afternoon when they came in to read to the children. The children loved sharing their stories with their friends and parents.
