We have had a wonderful first week in our Acorn Class and the children have settled in really well. The children have enjoyed exploring their new environment this week and getting to use some of the new resources that we have purchased to support them in their learning. Alongside this, children have enjoyed sensory stories and have worked really hard in their initial assessment tasks. Each child is working on skills relevant to their needs and we have seen some excellent work from the children!
The children have really enjoyed having snack time together, working hard to pour their own cereal and drinks, as well as opening their own packets. We have seen some excellent role play skills from the children, sharing the resources and pretending that they are at home, making food for each other and cups of tea!
We are really excited to see how our Acorn Class progress this year and we know that their families will work with us to support us along their incredible learning journey. Thank you to everybody who has helped us to prepare the Acorn Room for our children, we are so pleased to have such an inclusive room within our school and we thank all of the Gillibrand parents who have come to have a look in at the Acorn Room during drop off and pick up times and have given us such lovely feedback.
