Children enjoyed singing Sweet Caroline, one of Doris’ favourite songs as well as Flower of Scotland to mark Doris’ heritage. Mrs Clark read a poem written about the life of Doris and pupils presented Doris with flowers and gifts on behalf of staff. More excitingly, Doris was totally unaware that the event was happening and even that her husband, daughter, grand daughter and great granddaughter would be present! It was a very special and momentous occasion showcasing our school value of kindness. Thank you Doris for all you hard work.
