Year 3 had such an adventure getting the train to Preston, then to Accrington to visit their eco-station as part of our history unit. We learned about the history of the railways, “from steam to green”, and its impact on Chorley as a town. The children had a brilliant day which included some dressing up and even designing their own “train of the future”.
