In science, this week we have been looking at the digestive system. Have you ever wondered what happens to the food we eat? Look no further! In Year 4, we have done just that. We made our very own digestive system starting with the mouth and ending with a stool. It was a very messy experiment but the children loved it. They could see first-hand the journey of the food from the mouth; down the oesophagus; into the stomach and then into the small intestines and large intestines; until finally it emerges from the anus as a stool.
