This afternoon, Father Jordan came to talk to the year 6 children about baptism for both adults and children. The session began by looking at different bibles including the King James Bible, a Jewish bible and a children’s bible. The children learned why God created the Earth and why different events have different meanings and names. The second part was about being baptised as an adult. We discussed the scripture about John the Baptist baptising Jesus in the River Jordan. The children then re-enacted an infant baptism with parents and God parents and the rest of the class being the congregation. The children thoroughly enjoyed the learning experience and asked some interesting and thought provoking questions.
