What an amazing week we have had in Year 4 for World Book Day. We started the week off by unveiling our fantastic book bench which children across school have been working hard to design and paint. Throughout the week, we have joined lots of live events including ‘Matilda and Friends’ and BBC World Book Day Live session. The children have thoroughly enjoyed taking part in these and getting to see many different authors. On Thursday, the children took part in a book swap between themselves and were able to swap their book for someone else’s which they found very exciting and couldn’t wait to read their new book. The children also had a very exciting delivery of their own World Book Day book. Today, we have finished our wonderful week with lots of fantastic activities. We have had fun taking part in the Masked Reader Competition and we paired up with Year 5 to share a book and read to each other. The children had so much fun trying to figure out who the masked readers were and having the opportunity to read to other children. To end the day Mrs Clayton came and read to us again and had us all laughing including Mrs Szalata! Have a look at our pictures from World Book Week.
