The rain didn't stop Year 6 from going on their local walk today. We set of in our water proofs, wellies and hi-viz towards the local rivers. We walked through the local woods spotting small streams which travelled towards the lake and weir. We saw the weir itself and stopped to talk about water safety and what to do if there was an emergency. We walked on and saw how the River Chor and the River Yarrow joined. Just as we were setting back to school we saw the amazing site of a heron in flight!

We may have been a little bit damp coming back but we had a great time.
