We received a Good Diabetes Care in School Award recently and we are extremely proud of our achievement. Well done to all the staff and children in school who have a wonderful awareness of type 1 diabetes and how best to support Ellison in school . Thank you to everyone at Gillibrand Primary for your very warm welcome yesterday. I thoroughly enjoyed my time with you all! The schools ethos of supporting and valuing each other really did shine through and I kept that wonderful feeling as I drove home.
It was lovely to meet Mrs Frohock, Ellison and Isabelle and see everyone’s delight in being awarded Diabetes UK’s Good Diabetes Care in School Award. Ellison is such an inspiring young lady.
