Today is Safer Internet Day! Children had an assembly about Safer Internet Day this morning and will be doing work about it in classes during the week. This year the Safer Internet Day slogan is ‘Create, Connect and Share Respect’ and children will be creating posters this week using this slogan. In each class there will be a competition for who can create the most informative poster and the results will be announced in Friday’s assembly.
We take Internet Safety very seriously at Gillibrand and teach and discuss it with our children throughout the year. As it is Safer Internet Day we thought it would be a good time to share with you these handy ‘Social Networking Checklists’. These checklists are for Snapchat, Facebook and Instagram, which we know some of our children use. They are really helpful to ensure their social networking are safe and secure.
