Mrs Smith came to teach us all about making healthy lifestyle choices.
We looked at food choices in particular and learned that we can eat 19g of sugar per day but that some foods contain almost our whole sugar allowance!
Lego STEM
We had a fantastic time when Junior Lego STEM visited us. We each made Lego spinners using our own algorithms.
Lesson 1 on our Glockenspiels
On Wednesday, we had our first music lesson with our glockenspiels. We enjoyed learning the notes and played the note 'E' along to the music.
Designing Dream Catchers
As part of our DT curriculum, we looked at, designed and began to make our dream catchers. We will complete our dream catchers next week.
Year 1 Tuesday Trek
We began our 'Outdoor Weeks' with a Tuesday Trek. It was a little too muddy to go onto the field so we trekked along the path and around the playground.
Making Shapes Using Natural Materials

Butterflies in Reception
Since the tiny caterpillars arrived in Reception three weeks ago we have been watching them grow bigger day by day. Then this week we were thrilled to watch them becoming chrysalises. The chrysalises have now hardened and they have been moved into the butterfly habitat.
