In RE, we have been learning all about the Passover and the special food that is eaten during the Passover meal to remind the Jews of their escape into the Wilderness. At the celebratory meal, flat bread is eaten. It remained flat as the Jews did not have time to wait for the bread to rise, instead, they packed their belongings and escaped to the Wilderness.
We have chosen to combine our DT and RE and make some bread for the Passover meal.
The children were very sensible when preparing, measuring and combining the ingredients for the bread and it smelled amazing whilst it was baking!
Here are photographs of the children making the bread.
