Today Year 5 have been learning more about how to keep themselves safe on line.  The children started the session collecting information about themselves, such as name, address, school etc.  They were then asked to share that information with the other children in the class.  After a few minutes, some children told the rest of the class something they had found out about a friend.  We discussed how quickly that information was shared.

Next 4 children had their information taped to them.  We then talked about walking around with private information on display.  The children were rightly shocked about this.

The key message from today was for the children to think carefully about what they share with others.  If they wouldn't tell a stranger on the street the information - don't share it with a stranger on line.

We also discussed what they needed to do if they felt unsafe on line.

Ask them about today's lesson to see what they have learned!
