Year 5 had great fun on Wednesday and Thursday with their DT project.  They worked in groups to plan a design for a catapult, thinking carefully about how they were going to join their materials.  The children then spent Thursday afternoon constructing their designs.  There was lots of great discussion and problem solving.  Once all the groups had finished their catapults, we went onto the playground to test them.  They each fired a counter from their design and we observed how far it travelled.

The winning team was Isaac, Fran, Matty and Charlie Bolton.  Well done!
