Reverend Mashiter from Trinity Methodist Church came to talk to Year 4 about the Christingle today and the meaning of it. He was very impressed by how much the children already knew.
We have learned a few songs about the Christingle and Reverend Mashiter also taught us a new song called "He is the Light."
All the children then made their own Christingle. We have also collected money for the Children's Society. Thankyou to everyone who sent their candles back. We will be counting the money in class tomorrow.
It has been an enjoyable morning in Year 4. Please ask your children about their Christingle as I know they will be able to tell you lots of information.
